This position will be responsible for performing all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of residents of Saskatchewans personal health information this may include: monitoring various eHealth systems, responding to security alerts and issues, and performing root cause analysis for security related incidents, performing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, including infrastructure, web and application testing, using both manual and automated techniques. This position will also analyze change requests to determine the security impact to the organization and assist with development, implementation and documentation of security related policies, standards, operating procedures and practices, and perform system security health checks. Within our environment, the situations you will encounter arent black and white, so you must be proficient in solving complex problems, delivering solutions, and enjoy working within the gray.
You will have:
-Several years successful experience in IT security supported by several years as an IT generalist;
-A post-secondary education in IT;
-Security Certifications, such as CISSP, CISA, CISM;
-Several years of experience in multiple security domains: Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Security Operations, Architecture, Policy;
-A strong knowledge of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design, privilege access etc.); and
-Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, network and operating system security features (e.g., TCP/IP, Windows, Unix, Cisco, AD, LDAP) and network security technologies (e.g. Firewalls, filtering routers, authentication mechanisms, IPSEC VPN, server hardening).
