Kelly Panteluk Construction Ltd. (KPCL) is general helpers to assist cooks and provide general housekeeping services for work secured around the Lanigan and Saskatoon areas.
Applicants must have a valid driver license, pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and have a valid safe food handling certificate.
Key Duties Include:
A. Actively participating, promoting and engaging others in a culture of safety amongst employees, subcontractors and clients;
B. With direction from the Camp Services Supervisor, assisting with food preparation, including cleaning, peeling and packaging fruits, vegetables and snacks, and housekeeping activities;
C. Cleaning, organizing and sanitizing kitchen work areas, including washing dishes, pots and pans;
D. Taking action to minimize food spoilage and waste, and assisting with unloading and secure storage of grocery orders as required;
E. Completing housekeeping services for camp rooms and common areas, including bathrooms, boot rooms, dining halls, hallways, and recreation rooms;
F. Checking personnel in/ out of camp rooms, assisting with room inspections upon checkout and cleaning the room in preparation of the next guest;
G. Communicating information clearly and effectively;
H. Listening and carrying out instructions diligently, this includes speaking up when instructions are unclear, not understood or the hazards are not identified or mitigated;
I. Adapting to meet changing priorities and helping resolve issues;
J. Willingness to travel between jobsites and work overtime when required; and
K. Any other duties as may be assigned by Employer, from time to time.
Preference is given to candidates with a minimum of two years experience cooking for large groups and/ or in a camp environment.
