Description

A division of the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council in partnership with the Ministry of Immigration and Career Training, the NWC is a first stop, walk in, regional service centre that welcomes immigrant newcomers.  The NWC strives to provide guidance and support in accessing the information, resources and services that will assist clients in their settlement and integration process.

Reporting to MJMC's ED, the Program Manager is responsible for the organization and successful operation of the NWC and oversees its services and programs with a view to providing professional, expanding, and sustainable services to the newcomer demographic.  

Specific duties will include (but not limited to):
-Oversee day-to-day operations
-Ensure contract obligations are met
-Ensure appropriate program and NWC policies are in place
-Manages the NWC budget
-Data collection and reporting
-Hiring, scheduling, supervision, and development of staff
-Information collection, management, and distribution
-Identify service gaps and opportunities to address them
-Ensure that the NWC consistently delivers client centered service
-Ensure that clients and other stakeholders are aware of the services offered at the NWC
-Support the community in developing capacity in regards to inclusivity

Qualifications/Essential Skills and Aptitudes
-Post-secondary education in the social sciences preferred/experience in the related field
-Management/supervisory experience
-Demonstrated success working in project management
-Experience working with newcomers to Canada and/or vulnerable populations
-Strong understanding of budgets and reporting
-Experience writing funding proposals
-Experience working with and partnering with multiple and a variety of stakeholders
-Highly organized
-Analytical and confident in decision making
-Ability to work in a team setting but with minimal supervision
-Thrives in an open work environment with interruptions; able to work flexible hours
