Sandy Ross Well Servicing Ltd. is look to fill derrickhand positions. One year of experience is required along with First Aid, H2S, Fall Arrest, Rig Rescue. Preference with 1A.
Job Description:
- Running pump truck

- Standard First Aid Certificate
- Rig Work Fall Protection
- Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
Additional Skills
- Write daily basic progress reports
- Train and supervise floorhands, assistants and helpers
Oil and Gas Well Drilling Worker Specific Skills
- Record mud flows and volumes and take samples
- Operate and maintain drilling mud systems and pumps
- Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions and other mechanical equipment
- Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs
- Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick
Work Setting
- Drilling and well service contractor
Oil and Gas Well Services Operator Specific Skills
- Read gauges to interpret conditions and adjust pumping procedure
- Operate hydraulic pumping systems
- Drive well services truck to well site
- Attach pumps and hoses to wellhead
