Premier Tech Horticulture continues to expand and we are seeking to add a Transport Clerk to our Carrot River team.
The role of the Transport Clerk, will be to guide and organize the logistical activities for the movement of our finished products. This position offers variety each day, the opportunity to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders and requires a high level of customer service and coordination with the carriers as they arrive to the site.
Being a Transport Clerk with PT means
Welcoming the carriers with a warm smile and helpful disposition while providing the necessary safety and yard overview guidelines for loading of finished goods;
Assisting the carriers with ensuring their paperwork is complete and organized for transport across borders and provinces;
Being aware of changing regulations, weight/tare and load restrictions;
Diligently entering all data into the centralized database system on a consistent basis;
Regularly filing, completing paperwork and necessary documents;
Communicating and collaborating with transport and shipping team members along with the customer service team at head office;
Having the opportunity to learn new tasks as you cross-train to provide vacation coverage or during busy times; and
Working safely everyday along with keeping the safety of yourself and others at the forefront.

Skilled at navigating within an ERP system or similar database;
Capable of juggling and prioritizing tasks quickly and effectively;
Able to work autonomously while keeping the teams priorities in mind; and
Flexible in your schedule as at times, days can run a little longer based on carrier needs.
