Westmoreland Coal Company, Canada currently has a position available for a permanent, full-time Tire Technician at the Estevan Mine.  As a Tire Technician at Westmoreland Coal, you will be responsible for all aspects of tire and related service and repair for mining tires and adhering to Westmoreland Coal's work and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance of fleet vehicles at assigned intervals.
- Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Conduct thorough daily inspection of tires/brakes on tractors and trailers.
- Identify worn and damaged parts, repairing, adjusting, or replacing as needed.
- Perform annual FAI inspections.
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
- Communicate with the warehouse to obtain needed parts for job.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to support the mine site in compliance with all mine regulations.
- Perform related work as required.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum one year experience as a tire technician.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Basic computer skills to input vehicle maintenance records and diagnosis equipment.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
