The Autism Intervention Program of Autism Services of Saskatoon is looking for a FUN, responsible, dedicated and creative individual to work as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Behaviour Therapist with individuals birth to 19 years of age. You will work in a non-profit environment as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team which includes other awesome support workers. The Autism Intervention Program is overseen by a Director, and you will work directly with the clinical supervision of Autism Consultants who have various backgrounds in counseling, behavior analysis, psychology, and speech and language pathology. You need to have strong play skills, understand child development, have a super positive attitude, and have lots of energy and patience. You need to be a good multi-tasker, are organized, encouraging, enthusiastic and FUN!!! You need to be able to take constructive feedback and implement it immediately within the home and center based therapy sessions. You will be able to coach parents through various target behaviors and skill acquisition plans. You should also feel comfortable presenting Autism Spectrum Disorder information to the public.
Qualifications:
- Completed a University Degree or Regional College program in a field related to education, early childhood, social services, psychology or graduated from a Behavioral Science Technology Program.
- A Minimum of 2 years experience in the direct delivery of educational/therapeutic programs for children with ASD
- Demonstrated understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with other team members.
- A valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle (required).
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
-1-2 years experience in the delivery of ABA or IBI programs. Basic understanding in CBT
