is recruiting for the position of
Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Chamber on approved programs and services on a day-to-day basis. The Administrative Assistant plays a significant
role in coordinating the planning of events and activities and assisting the directors as needed. The successful applicant must be outgoing, energetic and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Promotion of new memberships and retaining existing memberships
Developing member relationships
Performing administrative tasks
Performing bookkeeping duties
Coordinating and overseeing to completion, projects, activities and events that have been approved by the Chambers Board of Directors
Coordinating and utilizing communication programs designed to keep the membership and the public informed of Chamber activities
General promotion of the Chamber
Regular office hours will be established but occasional evening and weekend work will be necessary. Although the position is part-time, it expected that office hours are consistent from week to week. Bookkeeping
skills with experience with QuickBooks are an asset. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous administrative experience will be
considered an asset.
This position will be approximately 16 hours per week.
