Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. is the world's first successful zero-effluent-discharge market pulp mill that is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) facility. INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC (MILLWRIGHT) APPRENTICE

Responsibilities:
- Performs hands-on routine planned, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance
- Plans mechanical maintenance in conjunction with Supply Chain and Operations personnel
- Reviews and interprets mechanical drawings
- Troubleshoots with other mill personnel, operational problems with equipment
- Cleans, lubricates and performs other maintenance work
- Understands and follows all safe work practices and procedures & maintains and high level of housekeeping standards

Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar program is considered an asset
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures
- Manual dexterity and ability to remain standing, crouching or bending for long periods of time

The successful applicant will be required to indenture as an Industrial Mechanic Apprentice.

There is an expectation of providing overtime as required to meet emergency mill needs and for scheduled mill outages. Once journeyperson status is achieved, the expectations is to provide routine scheduled shift coverage (shared equitability with team).
