Position and Responsibilities

Reporting to the services supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible to operate the batch plant and waste management equipment in a safe and efficient manner.  This position will be required to understand concrete mixing technology and troubleshoot when equipment is not functioning properly.  General labor duties and operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain the waste management facilities and roads in a safe, sustainable and environmentally effective manner will also be required.

This is a temporary position.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:
    Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
    Minimum of three years of relevant work experience
    Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
    Valid Class 2 drivers license
    Cement truck operation and concrete delivery experience
    Experience on loader and skidsteer  
    Ability and willingness to perform manual labour as required for this position
    Ability to take direction and be a team player
    Excellent reading, writing and communication skills are essential
    Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Assets:
    Concrete batching and testing experience
    Class 3A or 1A drivers license
    Experience on excavator and dozer  
    TDG certification
    Previous experience in waste collection, segregation and disposal
