This position will be a dual position as an ECE and cook. Applicants must understand age appropriate development, follow a nutritious menu for children ages 4-12 years, understand the eating habits of children, have a Safe Food Handling and Safe Places certificate, be able to maintain a sanitary working environment and learn quickly. Must have or be willing to become trained in CPR and First Aid prior to starting. Skills include being able to create a shopping list from the menu, be creative, work by self and alone, work within time lines, have a vehicle and valid drivers licence to pick-up groceries (fuel allowance paid), clean dining rooms, do laundry and be physically able to purchase, transport and unload the groceries. We are open 6:30 am to 6:30 pm Monday to Friday, closed all weekends and stats. A full benefit package and tuition reimbursement for classes may be available. If trained in other areas, certification will be done by the Ministry of Education and wage will pend that level of education and training. Prior cooking experience is an asset but official cooking school is not mandatory.
