Relief Direct Support Professionals (Relief DSP) provide services to the people supported by Christian Horizons in the absence of the regularly scheduled Direct Support Professional, or provide additional coverage based on temporary increased needs of people supported in a location. The success applicants will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to community inclusion as they provide supports to the individuals living in community residences. As a member of a Direct Support Team the Relief Direct Support Professionals will actively participate in team related responsibilities. . You will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the Values, Vision, Mission and Service Principles of Christian Horizons, through the implementation of consistent behaviour support plans and protocols, and a person centered approach. Upholding the rights of people supported, promoting self-determination, and encouraging citizenship through community participation, is an essential focus of you responsibilities. You must respond calmly in all interactions with people, demonstrating patience, effective listening, respectful communication, and flexibility. This is a physically demanding environment that may involve frequent lifting, bending, turning, twisting & kneeling.

Requirements: Current First Aid/CPR; Valid Class 5 drivers license, Commitment to team goals through assigned tasks and responsibilities and person centre-support is crucial.
