The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the Boston Pizza kitchen under the direction of the Kitchen Manager and the General Manager. This includes conducting the affairs of business in regards to the kitchen, the purchasing, receiving and preparation of all foodstuffs, according to company policies and practices, the staffing and scheduling of the back of house staff and the on-going training, supervision and development of the kitchen staff. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will be responsible to the Kitchen Manager and the General Manager for ensuring that all products received meet Boston Pizza International Inc. specification, that the invoicing is correct in respect to quantity, quality and price and that the products are properly dated, rotated and stored. They will ensure that all products are prepared according to Boston Pizza systems and standards ensuring a high quality product presentation at all times. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will maintain control over prescribed food and labor costs and other kitchen related operating expenses.Prior restaurant experience required.

* You must be able to perform efficiently during high volume peak periods.
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays.
* Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a strong initiative.
* Leadership skills able to direct and supervise staff.
* Must work well within a restaurant team culture.
* Must be eligible to work in Canada.
