Since 1930 the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency has been providing cancer treatment to people all across the province. The Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan will be the fundraising partner for the Agency and will provide donors with the opportunity to invest in diagnosis and treatment, research, education and patient comfort right here in Saskatchewan.
The Opportunity:
Reporting the to CEO and serving as an integral member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for the development of the Foundation's marketing, public relations and communications strategy and will contribute to the strategic operations of the Foundation. The Director will develop a communications plan and directly manage communications activities that promote, enhance and protect the Foundation's brand reputation.
Responsibilities include oversight of the Foundation website and social media channels; generating and updating content as needed. You will also be responsible for design, production and distribution of Foundation publications, presentations and reports along with promotional materials and collateral.
The Candidate:
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a post-secondary degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, Marketing, or the equivalent. As a seasoned professional, you will have at least 5 years experience in a senior management role with oversight of the marketing and communications function along with management of the budget and planning process.
