Loraas Environmental Services is seeking two full-time permanent employees to oversee its scale operations at the Kindersley Landfill.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with scale operation, general paperwork, and cash handling.
Ensure Kindersley Landfill delivers exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Directing traffic in and around the material delivery areas.
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks and report any issues or items of concern found.
Travel will be required to and from Landfill. Training may be conducted off-site with travel costs provided by Loraas.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience operating equipment
Experience in the customer service profession is an asset.
Certificate(s) in Heavy Equipment Operation an asset
Experienced in basic daily maintenance of heavy equipment
Farm background considered an asset
Good communication skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work carefully and efficiently independently.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to learn a variety of tasks.
Adequate computer skills and the ability to multitask.
Valid class 5 license with clean drivers abstract as well as own reliable transportation to and from Landfill.
Criminal Record Check required.
As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two week period of their hiring date. A criminal record check will also be required.
