Description

Appointed by the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall management and leadership of Protein Industries Canada.  The hallmarks of success of this role will be to understand the total value proposition the organization represents and to serve as the nexus that creates relationships among the members in order to accelerate modernization, innovation, and commercialization of the industry.

The CEO will be a trusted, visionary and influential leader who will strategically position the organization as a true growth engine, creating demand for services, jobs, quality competition and brand recognition.  With a global food/supply chain vision, the CEO will broker partnerships and create economic opportunities for the pan-provinces.  He/She will be a strong communicator with the drive and energy to build an organization capable of optimizing potential while carefully managing risk.  This role will be looked upon to lead the organization over the next several years in a meaningful way to best position it globally as a leading source of high-quality plant protein and plant-based co-products.  

To ensure success in this role, the successful candidate will have robust senior level experience, working with C-suite executives and have demonstrated capacity to work with all levels of government at senior levels.  The likely candidate will possess an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in agriculture, research, business or financial or equivalent experience and is already an experienced executive interested in applying his/her experiences in a larger, more complex organization.
