Thyssen Mining is looking for an energetic and detail oriented individual to join our Technical Services Department in the position of Project Engineer. The chosen individual will report to the Technical Services Manager.  Over their career, the Project Engineer will gain experience in all aspects of underground mining in both field and office environments. In this role, the Project Engineer will work alongside our team of professionals and be responsible for providing technical support to projects throughout the world. Travel will be required in this position as project assignment will require site based rotation work.  

The ideal candidate will possess:

-University Degree in Engineering
-Ability to register as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan or other jurisdiction
-Prior experience in a mining environment
-Experience in AutoCAD and/or Solidworks platforms
-Knowledge of other software systems such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Visio, and SharePoint
-Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
-Methodical and detail oriented approach to work practices
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to support and promote Corporate Health & Safety practices
-Passion and aptitude to train and share your experiences with others in related processes, procedures, and software
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively in a team environment
-Ability to travel as required
