The Organization:

Founded in 1955 as the Lutheran Sunset Home of Saskatoon, LutherCare Communities provides excellence in care, housing, and community services within a nurturing Christian environment.



The Position:

The Home Help Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Home Help Program, ensuring the program is delivered in an appropriate, caring and respectful manner. Under limited supervision, the Home Help Coordinator provides and coordinates individualized care and resources to individuals so that they may continue to live in their homes and in the community. The Home Help Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, monitoring the completion of tasks assigned to workers, and participating in internal and external committees as required. This position is directly involved in the hiring and supervision of employees.

The Applicants:

Applicants qualifying for this position must have a Diploma or degree/certificate in a related field (ie: SCA), Food Safe certificate, Basic First Aid, and a valid drivers license with an available vehicle for use. The successful applicant will have at least one year supervisory experience and at least two years experience working with geriatrics and dementia care. Applicants must demonstrate sensitivity, patience and concern in providing quality service as well as have strong administrative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
