Duties:
Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
Test and provide feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment
Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges etc.
Troubleshooting any issues with hydraulic systems
Follow safe work policies and procedures
General facility maintenance
Qualifications:
Meet the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship Trade Certification requirements as an industrial mechanic (millwright)
Grade 12 or equivalent is required
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to support production departments when on-call on weekends
Strong written & oral skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement
Experience in the following areas will be considered an asset:
Previous experience (ideally in flour mill operations) which includes: bucket elevators, conveyors, rotary valves, compressors, blowers, fans, grinders, electric motors, gearboxes and filtration equipment
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Experience in fabricating and welding
Computer maintenance management system (CMMS) experience
Forklift/Crane training as well as rigging and lifting
