Job Description: Reporting to the Regional Manager - Employee/Labour Relations & Scheduling, the Human Resources Consultant - Recruitment and Retention is accountable for the development & provision of effective recruitment and retention programs and management practices to ensure appropriate and efficient utilization of human resources. This includes developing and implementing strategies to ensure a sustainable workforce, assisting managers in the creation of quality work environments to attract new recruits a
Experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Human Resources or equivalent, or a suitable combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Exceptional written and oral communications skills, public speaking and presentation skills
Exceptional organizational abilities
Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with many types of people including staff, unions and the general public
Ability to translate strategic direction into operational plans in a very complex, challenging and fast paced environment
Ability to work within and adapt to time pressured and intense human relations environments
Effective change agent and team player with exceptional people building skills
Possess project management skills and ability to work simultaneously on a variety of projects
Knowledge of principles of collective bargaining agreement application and interpretation, and related provincial legislation
Knowledge of progressive practices in Human Resources and Labour Management relations
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Internet
