Job Description: Reporting to the Regional Manager of Human Resource Services, the Disability Management Consultant is the agent of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region in directing compliance with all rights and obligations related to safe and early return of employee's from illness, injury or disability to the workforce.  The Disability Management Consultant contributes to the physical and mental wellbeing and the productive work performance of all staff members through the development, administration and evaluation of a comprehensive Disability Management Program throughout the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region.  This position includes working with staff and managers to develop and implement strategies in the creation of a quality work environment.  This position initiates and develops the opportunity for staff who are currently our of the work place to assist them to transition back into the workplace in other departments and/or facilities within the organization.  The Disability Management Consultant will provide leadership and direction in Return to Work and Disability Management practices by assisting managers and staff and departments in developing processes, structures and activities that meet specific requirements and comply with legislative requirements, including the collective agreements.  

These functions will include, but not be limited to, the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the disability management program, and the development, implementation, consultation, and evaluation of policies pertaining to disability management and ensuring that a regional approach is established and followed.
Required Qualifications

Degree/Certification in Human Resources, Disability Management or Occupational Health and Safety is preferred
