AGI Envirotank is a leading manufacturer of above and below ground steel storage tanks for both shop built and field erected applications. We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Purchasing of all supplies and materials required for the manufacturing of our product.
- Ensuring proper quantities, quality and price of materials.
- Sourcing product and availability to fit our needs while ensuring the best purchasing price.
- Tracing shipments and follow up on goods.
- Creating work orders from drawings while working in an office environment.
- Managing inventory levels and pricing.
- Ensuring inventory is arriving at the required times to meet production needs.
- Negotiating purchasing pricing and terms with suppliers.
- Working with sales and production staff to generate forecasts of inventory requirements based on sales forecasts.
- Expediting orders when required for changes in production schedules.
Skills & Abilities:
- 2-4 years previous purchasing experience.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem solve and manage competing requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Self-directed and organized with the ability to multi-task, follow-up and prioritize to complete assignments on tight deadlines.
