Description

The David Aplin Group, one of Canadas Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to add an Account Representative to their team.

Role Purpose

The Account Representative position is responsible for providing inside sales support and other related services for the assigned region. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will also be responsible for developing and maintaining positive customer relationships and keeping current on company products, sales procedures and market conditions.

Key Accountabilities

Develop and maintain positive customer relationships, ensure compliance, filter products related inquiries to the appropriate manager, act as a liaison between operations and customers and follow through on sales orders and inquiries
Work closely with the Sales team as well as liaise with the Operations team to satisfy customer interests. Collaborate within the cross functional teams to update everyone of shipping schedules
Maintain and keep current detailed records, reports and customer data
Effectively represent the clients interest when dealing with customers, the community, employees and suppliers
Drive sales within our current and prospective account base. Work with the outside sales team by operating leads, proactively quoting and following up on lead generation
Professional Qualifications
Understanding of the building industry and construction practices preferred
High level of proficiency with web based computer services
Strong utilization and understanding of spreadsheets
Strong written and oral communication skills
Prior CRM Tool Training/ use an asset
Prior sales/ customer support experience an asset
Post-secondary education
