Description

The Estevan Housing Authority manages a property and program services portfolio on behalf of the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation and provides affordable housing to low-income seniors, families, and others who could not otherwise access safe, secure shelter.  

Estevan Housing Authority is looking for an independent, self-starter who enjoys working alone and amongst tenants for a term position as Maintenance Technician.   If you are skilled in property maintenance, take pride in your work, are available to work 37.5 hours a week and participate in a standby system,  we'd like to hear from you!  

This is a term position for approximately 6 months to commence asap.

What you'll do:
-    Building maintenance  service & repair
-    Vacancy preparation
-    Grounds maintenance & snow removal
-    Maintain housing authority equipment and
        inventory

What we're looking for:
-    Experience in repairing building
        mechanical equipment, custodial &
        maintenance work
-    General knowledge of carpentry, boilers,
        plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical
        & painting
-    Effective communicator with tenants,
        housing authority staff, contractors and
        suppliers
-    Adherence to Federal and Provincial OH&S
        Act and Regulations

What you'll need:
-    Valid drivers license and reliable truck
-    Ability to use hand tools
-    Recognition of and respect for peoples'
        diversity and individual differences
-    Successfully complete a criminal
        background check.
