SUMMARY OF COV & PLAYHOUSE PROGRAM
Gordon Tootoosis Nknwin Theatre (GTNT) is seeking a full-time Term Circle of Voices and Playhouse Program Coordinator. This individual will be a results-oriented individual that can effectively operate in an individual and/or group capacity. The focus of this position will plan, initiate, and facilitate delivery of the 2018/2019 Circle of Voices (COV) Program and the 2019 Playhouse Program. The Playhouse program is for children in grades 4-8 from 3-5 community schools in Saskatoons inner-city. We provide artistic experience to the children through theatre. We provide a safe and supportive environment for children to discover and explore their creative and artistic side. The students will collaborate to create a theatrical piece that reflects their own reality. We nourish the students' interests in the performing arts.
QUALIFICATIONS& REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of university/college education or a combination of education and experience in arts and administration;
One year of experience working with Aboriginal youth;
Previous experience working with Aboriginal organizations is required;
Experience in project management;
Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills;
Good working knowledge and application of Microsoft suite of products;
Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Sector Check
Valid Class 5 Drivers license required.
