The Weyburn Red Wings are currently seeking an Athletic Therapist/Equipment Manager for the 2018/2019 SJHL Season.
Reporting to the General Manager and Head Coach, the chosen successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Provide injury evaluation, management, and rehabilitation
Act as a liaison with local physicians and medical personnel
Provide medical treatment to players prior to, during or after team activities
Attend all games, both home and away, pregame and postgame activities
Develop/Follow the Weyburn Red Wings Emergency Action Plan
Aid in the treatment ,prevention, and assessment of injuries
Provide player condition updates to the management and coaching as requested
Maintain all medical records pertaining to treatment required
Complete medical insurance claims
Follow our budget guidelines for supplies
Assist in the maintenance and management of team equipment
Act in a professional manner as a member of our organization in all situations
The successful applicant will be required to provide a current criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening before being hired
Qualifications/Skills:
Accreditation in an Athletic Therapy University/College program is an asset
Hockey Canada Safety Program
First Aid and CPR
Hockey Equipment repair and maintenance experience is preferred but not required
