Job Description: THE TELEHEALTH COORDINATOR IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT, COORDINATION, DELIVERY AND EVALUATION OF TELEHEALTH ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE SERVICE AREA.
RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND PROTOCOLS FOR THE USE OF THE TELEHEALTH PROGRAM ARE DEVELOPED AND FOLLOWED. WORKS IN COLLABORATION WITH ALL OTHER TELEHEALTH COORDINATORS AND HEALTH SERVICE PROVIDERS.
AS A HEALTH EDUCATOR, THE TELEHEALTH COORDINATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING, CONDUCTING AND FACILITATING TELEHEALTH PROGRAMS UTILIZING VIDEO CONFERENCING CAPABILITIES TO PROVIDE ENHANCED HEALTH CARE AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT FOR SERVICE AREA CLIENTS AND EMPLOYEES.
THE TELEHEALTH COORDINATOR WILL PROVIDE MENTORSHIP, TRAINING, COMMUNICATION AND OPERATING ASSISTANCE TO ALL STAFF, SERVICE PROVIDERS, INTEREST GROUPS AND PHYSICIANS USING TELEHEALTH EQUIPMENT TO ENSURE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT UTILIZATION OF THE NETWORK TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CLIENT BASED PROGRAMS. THE POSITION RELIES ON STRONG INDEPENDENCE AND SELF-DIRECTION.
Experience
MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE IN A RELATED FIELD REQUIRED EG. PARTICIPATION ON A PRIMARY HEALTH TEAM; EXPERIENCE IN ADULT EDUCATION, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, OR HEALTH CARE DELIVERY. RELEVANT ADVANCED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE RELATED TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH SYSTEMS, POPULATION HEALTH PROGRAMMING. VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND ACCESS TO A VEHICLE. CVA VEHICLE MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR SOME TRAVEL
