Duties include but not limited to the following: Maintenance of a 51 Unit senior living building. Daily cleaning including 2 single washrooms; floors, hallways, stairwells, and elevator; all common areas; garbage room; laundry rooms; plus weekly and monthly cleaning chores. General Caretaker duties such as changing light bulbs and taps etc., as needed. General maintenance and inspection of building systems and equipment; as well as exterior and entry ways. Log activity and report to the Maintenance & Personnel Chairperson. Duties subject to change.
Requirements: Criminal Check; Fireman Certificate and a Boilers Certificate Are Desirable but Not Necessary; Must be Bondable and 3 years work experience in the field.

Specific Maintenance Activities
- Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
- Remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
- Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs
- Empty waste containers
- Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures
- Sweep, mop, scrub and wax floors
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing systems
- Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
- Work with minimal supervision
