Description

Industrial Machine & Mfg. Inc. (IMM) is one of the most diverse industrial manufacturers in Western Canada, offering our expertise, capabilities and capacities to the mining, oil & gas, power generation and original equipment manufacturers industries.  
IMM has an immediate opening for a full time Estimator. As part of the Technical Team, you will work closely Engineers, Drafters and our Manufacturing Team to complete detailed estimates. After award of work, you will provide project support and assist with coordinating our teams to see the successful completion of our projects in a timely and cost effective manner.  
Responsibilities include;
- Generating detailed bid proposals including estimates, scope of work and schedules for manufacturing.
- Working with Drafting, QA and Operations to ensure manufacturability of the product.
- Identify key parameters, specifications, codes and critical issues that may impact project costs.
- Monitoring design project timelines.
- Accurately interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings and specifications and translating into cost, labour and material estimating.
- Reviewing past performance on similar projects and incorporating the lessons learned into the project.
- Facilitate project kick off meetings.
- Collaborate with engineering, drafting and manufacturing during bid preparation and post award project coordination.
- Facilitate smooth transition of awarded projects to our operations and manufacturing teams.

Qualified candidates will ideally have;
- 5-8 years  experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology Diploma, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or significant trades experience within the industry.  
- Experience with Autodesk Engineering Software (Inventor, Vault)will be an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
