Looking for a provider to care for 1 female elderly (our mom) who is over 65 years old
Employment Terms: Full-time - Permanent
Salary: $16.61/hour for 40 hours a week. Overtime rate is 1.5 times the regular pay for hours worked over 4 hours/week. Caregiver is also allowed to have 30-minute meal break after 5 hours worked. Overtime hours can be bank as well rather to be paid out.
Education: Completion of secondary school may be required and would be considered an asset.
Experience: Had experienced taking care of elderly or even their mom/grandmother in the past 5 years preceding application. Completion of a training program in personal care or a related field is an asset but not required; driver's license is an asset but not required;
Work setting & Location: In a private home (basement) located in Saskatoon, SK
Work location information: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Care for elderly female
2. Plan and prepare nutritious meals
3. Provide personal care.
4. Assist clients with bathing and other aspect of personal hygiene.
5. Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and beds for our mom's safety
6. Provide companionship for her safe mobility
7. Shop for food and household supplies
8. Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of householder.
9. Perform other related duties as required
