Ghost Transportation Services is looking for a Fleet Supervisor based in its Saskatoon office. The selected individual will be required to work with long haul and local assets as well as other departments within the company. This position will be responsible for ensuring operation of the Tractor Trailer fleet, including revenue generation, expense management and preventative maintenance of resources. It will also entail dispatching of drivers and dealing with customer inquiries, requests and communication. It is generally a Monday to Friday position with on call flexibility required.
Duties required:
Dispatching of drivers on the long haul fleet
Arranging loads for long haul fleet dealing directly with customers, freight brokerage companies and Ghost brokerage division to ensure proper revenue generation of equipment and covering customer needs
Coordination with local fleet to arrange pickups and deliveries
Coordination of maintenance of equipment including OTR breakdowns
Backup to local dispatch to cover holidays and other absences
Rate quotation to customers
Maximizing and Managing Hours of Service for Drivers through dispatch
Driver management including hiring, arranging for training, discipline and termination
Knowledge preferred or able to learn (but not limited to):
Rules and Regulations of Highway Transport
Weight limits for differing roads
Hours of Service regulations for both Canada and United States
Equipment configurations
Equipment failure trouble shooting
