Description

The CSS Pension Plan, located in Saskatoon, provides competitive, value-added retirement products and services exclusively to co-operative and credit union employees.

Pioneered in Saskatchewan in 1939, we are one of the oldest and largest defined contribution (DC) pension plans in Canada with over $4B in assets.  

The CSS Pension Plan is seeking a highly motivated, conscientious individual to play a key role on its administration team. Your primary responsibilities will be daily processing of the Plans employer remittances, data entry, balancing of daily deposits, reception and general office duties.  

You will have responsibility for:
Daily mail (in and out)
Daily balancing, processing and reconciling employer remittances, and completion of output reports
Collaborating with employers to administer pension benefits and problem solving when necessary
Preparation and balancing of the daily deposit, adhering to strict deadlines
Entering member information changes
Answering incoming calls and transferring to the appropriate staff member
Backup for other administration team members as required

The following skills and experience would be considered assets when applying for this position:
Able to work both independently and as part of a team while following established processes
Able to problem solve and communicate effectively with employers and members
Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping

Preference will be given to those with:
Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent business office experience
Knowledge of pension plans, preferably defined contribution plans
Previous financial service experience
