Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canadas Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to add an ambitious Junior Accountant to their team.

Responsibilities
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Provide follow up on  collections and monitor credit limits
Process credit card payments, credit applications for both vendors and customers
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements
Prepare and submit monthly standard entries,  reports, expense claims, reconcile monthly bank accounts, and prepare and submit any GST/PST remittances
Assist with administrative duties (reference checks, admin holiday coverage, answering phones)

Requirements
Accounting diploma or certificate is required
Excellent organizing abilities and great attention to detail
Deadline driven and a strong sense of urgency remitted at all times
Accurate with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Computer savvy (attention to detail and accuracy is a must
