Description

Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan (AITC-SK) is dedicated to connecting kids and agriculture through curriculum-based programs and resources. To achieve this, AITC-SK liaises with the agriculture and education sectors across Saskatchewan to develop and deliver quality teaching resources and organize hands-on outreach programs for students.  
The Explore Ag Program Coordinator will be responsible for the Explore Ag and spring Seed Survivor programs, undertaking the following responsibilities:
Engage students through dynamic, enthusiastic program facilitation
Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations, presenters, and teachers
Clearly communicate program details to teachers and stakeholders
Conduct and analyze formal evaluations of programs
Enhance the public image of AITC-SK among members, partners, educators, students, parents, and the citizens of Saskatchewan
The Candidate:
AITC-SK is seeking a motivated, energetic, creative individual to manage agriculture education programming & events.
Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable delivering engaging presentations to a variety of students from diverse backgrounds
Experience working with teachers and students is an asset
Ability to develop solid working relationships stakeholders and colleagues
Ability to prioritize, develop and follow a detailed work plan, and meet deadlines
Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required as travel within the province is required.
Understanding of the Saskatchewan Educational Currricula an asset
Agriculture background, experience, and understanding is preferred
A degree in Agriculture, Education, Environmental Education, or equivalent would be an asset
