Description

Viterra is seeking a motivated and analytical thinker to join our team as an Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible to support administrative, accounting and logistics functions for the purchase, movement and sale of commodities.

Key Responsibilities:
    Review, verify and follow up on purchases and sales contract terms.
    Analyze and monitor stock and inventory positions and daily crush yields.
    Monitor and investigate origin inventory and destination unloads data and variance reports.
    Monitor daily activities for designated commodities including shipping, in transit and unloads reports.
    Troubleshoot grain sales contracts from inception to completion ensuring all aspects involved in the grain trade are completed.


Knowledge and Skills:
    Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail.
    Adaptable with the ability to learn new concepts and apply them in different business scenarios.
    Enjoys a challenge and thrives in a fast-paced and changing team environment.


Education and Qualifications:
    Minimum two (2) years experience with financial reporting and accounting in an automated environment.
    Post secondary degree in Commerce/Administration with a major in accounting or a Saskatchewan Polytechnic diploma in Accounting.



Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
