Description

Located in Saskatoon or Regina.
The Director, Centre of Health Research, Improvement and Scholarship is accountable to the Dean of the School of Nursing and the School of Health Sciences for the growth and success of the Centre of Health Research, Improvement and Scholarship (CHRIS) within the School of Nursing and the School of Health Sciences at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.  

The Director, CHRIS will provide vision and direction in the creation, implementation, assessment and ongoing maintenance of the CHRIS strategic and operational plans. The Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and expertise in the development, implementation, promotion and evaluation of applied research, scholarship and improvement activities within the two schools. The Director, ensures appropriate resources and human capital capacity exist, thereby enabling faculty to dedicate efforts towards increased participation in Saskatchewan Polytechnic applied research, scholarship and quality improvement initiatives. The Director works closely with the Polytechnics OARI (Office of Applied Research and Innovation) to capitalize on each others strengths, resources and processes, avoiding duplication and ensuring each others success. The Director, CHRIS will identify industry opportunities, develop partnerships and strategic alliances with industry, and prepare and submit funding proposals and requests. The Director, will develop and maintain a portfolio of research and improvement projects while supporting research dissemination, knowledge translation and the capacity to engage in applied research and quality improvement initiatives.

The Director is an active member of the Schools leadership team and contributes through an exchange of innovation, expertise and creativity to address the challenges and foster the opportunities in the schools operations and future strategies.
