Description

We are currently seeking an Agricultural Technician in the Paradise Hill, SK area.  This is a full time position with a competitive wage and benefits offered once the right candidate is found.

Responsibilities and Duties:

    Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, dairy equipment, and irrigation systems;
    Inspect and test engine and other mechanical components using test devices to diagnose and isolate faults;
    Adjust, repair or replace mechanical or electrical system parts and components using hand tools and equipment;
    Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance;
    Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment;
    Attach components and adjust new farm equipment;
    Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment;
    Advise customers on work performed and general condition of equipment;
    Determine estimates of repair cost;
    Maintain proper documentation including maintenance records and cost tracking;
    Improve run-time on equipment by using innovative thinking and improvements;
    Keep shop area clean and working area free from hazards;
    May be required to work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications:

    1- 2 years experience required
    Agriculture experience an asset
    Have general computer skills, navigation ability and various computer program knowledge;
    High safety standards;
    Self-motivated with a strong work ethic;
    Excellent problem solving, planning and troubleshooting skills;
    Team player with strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills ;
    Valid class 5 drivers license.
