POSITION TITLE: Facilitator
PROGRAM NAME: Life Skills / Employability
CLASSIFICATION: Level 6

LOCATION: Fort Quappelle, SK
POSITION TERM: September 24, 2018 to December 20, 2018
HOURS OF WORK: 540 hours
STATUS: Term/Part-Time
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Gail Gorchynski, Head Counsellor

DUTIES:

Under the supervision of the Head Counsellor, this position is primarily responsible for developing, coordinating, delivering and facilitating the classroom component of the Life Skills / Employability program.  The program goal is to help build life skills and workforce skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The minimum educational qualification for this position is a two-year post-secondary diploma or equivalent in Human or Social Services or Behavioral Sciences field.  This education or training would provide general skills transferable to a multitude of workplaces and the ability to understand the workplace.  This education would typically provide knowledge in group facilitation, adult education methodology, Essential Skills and counseling skills.  

Life Skills Certificate is an asset.

The minimum amount of practical, related experience required to perform the duties of this position is two years. This experience would typically provide skills required to provide career information, to effectively liaise with employers or funding agencies and to develop needs based approaches to workshop development and delivery and with Essential Skills programming.

Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.

Demonstrated experience handling sensitive issues.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check prior to employment.
