Reporting to the Manager, Catering; the Catering Supervisor is responsible for ensuring customer needs are met and are completed in the utmost professional and courteous manner by engaging staff to demonstrate a positive work ethic by creating a positive work environment in the catering unit. This position supervises employees ensuring the appropriate and efficient completion of various job functions, and that customer and staff needs are addressed while maintaining both their safety and a high level of customer service. As well as acting as a liaison between internal departments to coordinate last minute changes, missing items etc. within the organization to ensure the event runs smoothly; delegating room assignments to catering leads, servers and porters; assisting the Catering Manager/Assistant Catering Managers and catering staff in ensuring the level of sanitation and cleanliness exceeds the Department of Health standards; orientating, training, monitoring, re-training and evaluation of new and existing employees at designated intervals.
