Description

Brandt is currently seeking Machinist Foremen for our new Saskatoon Manufacturing Facility.


Responsibilities include:

Reading and understanding blueprints
Operating lathes
Milling machines and boring mills
Assessing work pieces and determining appropriate repairs
Standard maintenance procedures on lathes, milling machines and boring mills
Organize the staff so that each leadhand has the required amount of manpower to meet the schedule
Help with the setup of products that supports flow and safety of work cells
Other duties may be assigned.

Required Experience:

Understanding of manufacturing operations and fabrication
Must be able to read and understand shop drawings
Knowledgeable in the use and operation of all hand power tools
Must be able to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
Has knowledge of proper maintenance of equipment under this classification
Capable of working independently
Motivated to learn and improve
Positive attitude with an attitude for problem solving.
