Description

Prairie Sky Recovery is looking for an experienced Addiction
Counsellor/facilitators to provide addiction specific recovery supports and information to clients, families and team members.
These are full time and part time career opportunities located in our residential centre located in Sask.

Key responsibilities of the position include:
    Facilitate group sessions utilizing the 12 step recovery model format
    Facilitate group sessions and classes in Emotional Health and Wellness
    Provide individual and group counselling in support of clients specific treatment needs and goals
    Provide client support with the development and implementation of leisure and life skills development
    Assist in the development and delivery of current and future psycho-social educational programs
    Manage client files, case notes and related documentation
    Participate as an active member of the program team in assessments, client reviews, treatment planning, relapse prevention strategy development, therapeutic interventions and discharge planning
Attributes:
    Team player
    Good written and verbal communication skills
    Computer literate
    Ability to prioritize competing needs



Experience in abstinence-based addiction treatment
and knowledge of the 12-step recovery model
    Persons working towards the above certifications (students) are encouraged to apply.
