We are currently looking for a 1A tractor driver for deliveries Regionally and within the City of Regina. Drivers must have at least one-year highway driving experience. Daily hours will vary, occasionally the driver may be away from Regina over night.
Responsibilities:
-Pick up and delivery of various goods within the city and surrounding areas in a timely and professional manner
-Assist with loading & unloading
-Fill out necessary documents
-Perform pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment - oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, perform brake adjustments
-Plan travel schedules & routes
-Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
-Transport hazardous products and/or dangerous goods
-Adhere to company safety policies
Qualifications:
-Saskatchewan Class 1A license & clean drivers abstract (We are not LMO certified)
-Customer service skills
-Good work attitude & willingness to learn
-Team player
-Strong command of the English language
-Ability to lift up to 23kg (50 lbs.)
-Understanding of the following:
- Driver logbooks/bills of lading
- Dangerous goods occurrence reports
- Inspection reports
- Maintenance & repair reports
- Trip reports/accident reports
