JOB SUMMARY:
Job Type: Part-time/Full Time
Salary: DOE
The Breakfast Line Cook/General Help reports to the Executive Chef/Component Manager and is responsible for preparing short order meals, deli counter customer service as well as catering support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that all line station food is displayed within the specified time frame and is professionally presented and prepared tastefully
Ensure the proper distribution of food through time, temperature as well as health and safety control systems are in place
Daily kitchen preparation and advanced preparation as assigned by the Executive Chef
Ensure constant knowledge of the menu (i.e., preparation, ingredients and garniture)
Ensure completion of cleaning duties, temperature and cleaning logs
Ensure all opening duties are completed at the start of the shift (e.g., turning on the ovens and proofers)
Ensure all closing duties are completed at the end of each shift (e.g., turning off all ovens and hot holding units)
Ensure menus are read, followed and production logs are completed
Provide efficient service while maintaining excellent customer service as per Aramark and Franchise standards
Follow directions of the Lead Hand and/or Supervisor
Adhere to Aramark and Franchise Policies and Procedures including Health and Safety
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Manager
Must be able to work in a high-stressed, fast paced environment
Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as a team
Must have strong customer service skills. Must be reliable, dependable and trustworthy
Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts (Between the hours of 6:30 am and 4:30 pm Mon-Fri)
Must be able to read and write English
