Description

Manages program services related to the attainment of vocational skills, including adult education classes, craft training, and employment specific training. Supervises staff engaged in assigned activities. Maintains and creates local partnerships; markets and expands existing services; establishes cooperative agreements which extend service provision associated with the Christian horizons ethos.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains revenue and expenses within established budget. Schedules classes, assigns caseloads, and monitors workload to achieve maximum effectiveness, skill utilization, and employee motivation. Ensures staff adhere to all requirements related to specific funding sources. Maintains necessary records, submits weekly reports as required, and provides input to referral sources regarding individual placement progress. Provides weekly and monthly reports to Quality Assurance. Monitors case records and report generation to ensure accurate and timely documentation. Compiles necessary statistical data to ensure that participants are assisted in making timely and appropriate vocational decisions and so the accountability/requirements of the Christian Horizons can be satisfied.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises Vocational Training staff as assigned. Provides coaching and counseling to assigned staff as needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures individual and departmental goals are met. Completes performance evaluations annually
