The Executive Director will ensure the implementation of Touchwood Child & Family Services Care service model which emphasizes the use of customary care, First Nation consultation and the involvement of the family in decision making. The Executive Director will ensure services delivered are consistent with the vision, mission and core values of Touchwood Child & Family Services. The Executive Director will work collaboratively with the Management Team and other Directors from the other service areas. The Executive Director will ensure that the agencys integrated services meet the requirements of the Child and Family Services Act and any other
applicable acts and are in line with the goals of the First Nations customs and practices, Ministry licensing, service standards, and the agencys policies and procedures. The Executive Director will develop and maintain effective working relations with staff members, First Nations and other community service providers; assist with the development of policies, procedures and work
plans; and other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Child Welfare.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Post-secondary education in the field of Social Services; BSW minimum,
HBSW or MSW preferred. Candidates without the specific education
qualifications, but who possess an appropriate combination of child
welfare experience and other academic qualifications will also be
considered.
Work Experience
Experience in management and leadership, and administration, with
demonstrated knowledge and skills in the areas of supervision, policy
development, program management, team building and organizational
development.
Experience in Children Services Programs. Knowledge of, and experience
in working with the Directives and legislative requirements. A minimum
of five years experience in the field of Children Services
