Under the direction of the Director of the Team or designate, the RN/RPN is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care in keeping with the philosophy of Jubilee Residences, which believes in creating a home like atmosphere for its residents. The environment includes plants, animals and children.
Resident and Worker Safety is a critical aspect of quality healthcare. All Jubilee Residences Stensrud Lodge and Porteous Lodge staff are responsible for creating a culture of safety, working as a team, communicating effectively, responding to adverse events, and establishing and sustaining a workplace and care environment where everyone is valued and treated with respect.
Qualifications
A diploma or degree in nursing from an approved school and current registration with SRNA or RPNAS.
Applicants must possess the above qualifications and sufficient ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques involved in performing nursing services relating to the care of residents in a geriatric setting would be an asset.
Selection will be based on Article 26.03 of the SUN/SAHO Collective Agreement.
