Description

Purpose of the Position:    
To oversee and ensure all the CMHC & INAC renovations/new construction are completed to code and on time. The Project Manager/Technician works under the direction of the Housing Manager.
Position Summary:
The Project Manager/Technician ensures the project is completed on time and within budget, He/She ensures that the projects objectives are met and that all contractors, subcontractors and employees are working according to specification required (Building Code, Energy Code). The Project Manager/Technician will work closely with the Housing manager to ensure tenders including scope of work and material lists are accurate and completed in a timely fashion. He/She will work with the Housing Manager to ensure that tenders are awarded in a timely and appropriate manner.
Primary Duties
Maintain confidentiality and professional code of ethics, practices within legal parameters and is accountable to own actions at all times
Assisting in the development of project goals and objectives
Providing advice on the management of projects
Tendering process
Provide Scope of Work
Provide breakdown of material lists and costs for each contract/project
Making sure the quality standards are met Recruiting specialists and sub-contractors
Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
Representing Muskeg Lake Cree Nation interest
