We are current looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join the administration team. The successful candidate will administer and arrange for the purchase of supplies and services for the east division which includes creating and sending purchase orders, monitoring purchases through to delivery, and evaluating suppliers. This position requires high attention to detail, organization and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Entering, validating and approving purchase requests
- Issuing and submitting purchase orders
- Sourcing materials and services
- Assisting in project estimation
- Monitoring open purchase orders
- Maintaining the accuracy of electronic inventory records
- Shipping/receiving
- Submitting credit applications to new suppliers
- Supplier point of contact
- Arranging travel and accommodations for staff, as required
- Providing clerical and administrative support to management, as requested
Requirements:
- Knowledge of procurement business processes
- Purchasing or project administration experience
- Accounting certificate or diploma is an asset
