Description

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Training is responsible for the overall training program in Saskatchewan. The position is the focal point for change, expansion and new program development. The Director is responsible for conducting needs assessments, planning, coordination, evaluation and other analysis of Training Programs throughout the province. The ability to work with teams and programs is essential to this position.

Education: Post-secondary education in a health, business or adult education field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years of progressively responsible related experience, preferably including adult education.

Previous first aid instructional experience is ideal.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The ability to work in collaboration with co-workers, volunteers and contract instructors.
Demonstrated ability in the use of software to develop reports and statistics.
Demonstrated adeptness in conflict resolution.
Strong communication and public relation skills.
Ability to work independently as an enthusiastic, dedicated self starter.
Equivalent combinations of the above may be considered.

Physical Effort:

Majority of time in an office or in instructional settings
Limited field travel but some travel required for quality control and liaison purposes.  

St. John Ambulance is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and safety of Canadians. We provide first aid training and supplies while our volunteers provide first aid coverage at events.
