Description

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Product Engineer or Designer to live and work in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will be required to innovate new, efficient design concepts for customer specific products that combine usage with engineering. You will be responsible for designs that ensure production efficiency, cost control, waste reduction, customer quality and safe usage. Applicants require strong team communication skills and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with post-secondary training within the related discipline.

Product Designer Responsibilities:
- Interact with sales, clients and production staff to create, timely efficient product designs
- Design, create and customize products based on customer suggestions
- Sketch and create renderings to provide better visuals of design concepts and ideas
- Evaluate product safety, appearance and function to determine design efficiency and effectiveness
- Work synergistically with other staff to minimize product cost and evaluate design constraints
- Active, timely communication with supervisors to improve productivity, quality and safety
- Minimize material and production costs through efficient designs
- Monitor design outcomes, make appropriate design changes and communicate timely recommendations to the management team
- Develop new designs to commercialize various products
- Expert in the use of various computer software programs to develop virtual models and working production drawings

Product Design Qualifications:
- Focused, reliable, professional who is seeking a long-term career opportunity
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience within the design field
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline
- Ability to work with customers and staff at all levels of an organization
- Exceptional computer skills utilizing technical software packages
